Welcome. Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome. Greetings. Shalom. Namaste.

This is my first blog entry. Thank you for checking it out. My plan is to put down what I believe. What I have learned about life so far. Random thoughts that run through my mind. Future topics will include "The Bible," "Religion," "Health," "Love," "Eternity," "Heaven and Hell," "Reincarnation," "Beliefs" and more.

My main teachers have been:

Seth, who has channeled a wealth of material through psychic medium, Jane Roberts. The main lesson I learned from Seth is that we create our own reality. It is possible to examine our beliefs about our worlds and change the ones that hold us back. Changing our beliefs changes our lives and our worlds.

Jack Young, who taught me that we survive death. We live on and will continue to exist forever.

A Course in Miracles, channeled through a woman named Helen, possibly by Jesus himself. Here I learned about love. How to love myself and others. And I learned to feel the powerful love that "God," "the Universe," "the Great Spirit," "All That Is," or whatever term you prefer, feels for me and for us all.

...and many more whom I will talk about in time.

What I Believe

Here are a few of my core beliefs. To get us started.

We survive death. When I was a young boy in Catholic school, I was taught that we have a soul that gets black marks on it when we commit sins. I don't think that I ever fully bought into that but I currently do not believe that we have a soul. We ARE our soul. And we have a body. Temporarily. But our true selves, our awareness, our consciousness continues on forever.

The glass is both half full and half empty. The difference is which aspect we choose to focus on. If we focus on the half empty part, we discover more and more emptiness and lack in our lives. If we focus on the half full part, we encounter more fullness and bounty.

I try to focus on the part of the Lord's Prayer that says "Give us this day our daily bread." To me this means that we should take things one day at a time. We have been given what we need for today. We should not concern ourselves about if we will have enough for tomorrow. Today we have enough. Today, our cup runneth over.

I realize that there are those who see that today they do not have food. Or shelter. Or safety. But I believe that this is an illusion. It sounds heartless, right? But I believe that help is everywhere and if you are open to it, it will be there. There is hunger and need around the world. Or so it appears. But here in the USA, there is bounty in every supermarket. I was stunned one Christmas Eve when I went shopping to discover the store was out of potatoes.

But I believe there is plenty for everyone. Our problem is failure to share. Hoarding. Fear of lack. We are provided with more than plenty. It is we who cannot seem to spread it around. The hunger and lack is because of us.

Another belief: It is easiest to go with the flow. I am reminded of this driving around in city traffic. If there are delays and obstacles, I try to relax. There is no reason for impatience. If it is true that we create our daily reality, then we must have put the delay there ourselves for our own reason. So slow down and enjoy it. Our world will not come to a violent end if our plans need to wait. Relax. Smile. Breathe. Enjoy.

And this bring us to the end of the first blog entry.

Check back soon for more.

Smile. Breathe. Enjoy.
